I do drive in the rain, but not intentionally. If I know its gonna rain that day, I'll take the DD, but if I get stuck in the rain, I just take my time and drive cautiously. My tires are great in the rain and so are my wipers, so no worries. Originally my car "had never seen rain" when I bought it, then it rained THE ENTIRE way home. So there goes that streak, if it ever existed. I park in east bumfuck, preferably next to a curb. I always tilt my mirrors down when reversing to protect my insanely expensive wheels. I do pop my hood on hot days as well, and let her idle for about 3-5 minutes after an hour drive (not including driving slowly for the last few miles) I only allow water in the car as far as food/bev for my passengers. I will eat whatever I want, cause its my car, and I'll clean my mess. I always make my passengers wear their seat belts, but that's just common sense. I don't move the car till I see them click. Umm what else, I have serious OCD about cleaning her, vaccum/wash/detail weekly (except when she's sleeping over Dave's place) Every single part I buy down to the fluids is always OEM or better. I will find an alternate route if the road I'm traveling on becomes torn up from construction and is covered with dirt and gravel. I slow down to less than 5mph over railroad tracks as well. If people beep, they get to watch me continue at 5mph for the next 1/4 mile. I'll start slowing down about 100 ft before the tracks so its not sudden, but some of the tracks around here are hideous, so slow I must go. I always let her get warmed up according to the idiot gauge. Women never understand that. "why do you have to let it warm up, its June?!"
